At the yearly big book fair in Deventer I found two vintage botanical posters. I wanted to make my own poster hangers but as many diy projects I postponed it for way too long. I shouldn’t have because boy this is such a super easy diy project! Here’s what you do.
Step 1: wood
Measure the width of your poster, my posters were 30 cm in width. This way you can calculate the length of the wood you need. For every poster hanger you will need four pieces of wood in this width. Use some sandpaper to smooth the edges a bit.
Step 2: gather all the material needed
4 pieces of wood of 30 cm (or the width of your poster)
a piece of sandpaper
2 screw eyes
Step 3: attach the magnetic tape
Attach the magnetic tape at the exact same place on all the four pieces of wood. Use the ruler for this.
Step 4: hang your poster!
Use one piece of wood to place the screw eyes in. Measure 5 cm from the outside and twist them into the wood . Cut two even pieces of rope, make a triangle and tie the two ends of the rope together. Et voilà! You poster hanger is ready to be hung. Super easy right?!
