Don’t you just love this mock-up with two of my newest designs for Patternbank?
The left one is called Water Camo and was designed for the Water Camo Printed Village creative brief. I incorporated a picture of the waves on the little beach near our home and stamps of water color blots and used different blending techniques in Photoshop. For these kind of designs I use the ‘getting it seamless technique’ that I explain in this post. I always find this part very meditative..
The right one, Land of 10.000 Lakes, was inspired by my recent trip to Finland. If you take a close look you will see some of Finland’s typical nature in the water color bubbles. This design feels close to my heart, as a part of me will always be Finnish and the reason for the trip was to say goodbye to our family home there.
I printed this fabric as an example on chiffon at Spoonflower, which is a great fabric because it is see through and doesn’t have the white back that is typical for digital fabric printing.
